  1. Thank you and Happy New Year to you too.

I will say that I’m not that great setting New Year’s revolution. Why? Because I feel it to be a task and something that must be accomplished at a given time thereby making you feel conscious of it every day. And when you fail to meet up, you feel unhappy and unsuccessful. I try to avoid this as much as possible.

I still do set New Year’s revolution. In fact, I have done so for this New Year 2020. But I don’t see it as something you must accomplish at a given time but more of something you should try to accomplish so that it won’t look like a duty. If I get to succeed, fine. But if I don’t, well, I won’t beat myself. Life goes on. This is just me being myself.

    Have a nice day, Christie.

    • Leon, thanks for stopping by and commenting!

I agree with your approach, it’s a healthy, prudent and practical approach!

May you have a 2020 year!!

      Cheers!!

    • That’s perfectly understandable Leon…while it is good to have a roadmap of where you’re going and goals and aspirations, the best thing to do is to work towards achieving those goals, NOT to beat ourselves for not reaching  those goals and aspirations within a certain time-frame.

So yes I do agree with your approach, it’s a prudent and healthy approach to life on this earth!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.  I appreciate it!

  2. Yes, I believe in the coming year 2020. I enjoy a lot while reading your Happy New Year Red White and Blue. I have a chance to setup my new year resolution. I already say good bye to 2019 and welcome 2020 in our life. We are also getting good results. Now I know that There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens. Happy new year to you and your family.

    • Thanks for stopping by Parveen!  Yes, yes, “there is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens.”  Isn’t that wonderful?!!   And this year will be great!

May 2020 be one of the best years for you and your family ever!

      Cheers!!

  3. Hi, Christie.
Thanks for all your wishes for Happy New Year. Sharing your views on the fact that “ there is always a new day “ fascinated me a lot. As you correctly said, every happening in our life has a certain time decided by Him and we should keep on working towards the truth. This thought is so motivating, thanks.
    Warm Regards,
    Gaurav Gaur

    • Hello Gaurav,

I’m very pleased that the notion that “there is always a new day” resonated with you!

Yesterday is gone forever!  So there is no point in dwelling on it, except to take the good from it!

Tomorrow is not yet here!  So there is no point in worrying and obsessing ourselves about it!

Today is a new day, a fresh start and an opportunity to sow good seed for tomorrow for ourselves and for others.

Each one of us is given the same amount of hours per day and only we can decide how to spend our time, we can choose to use it wisely or not, but we certainly cannot complain that someone else got more hours in the day than we did!

Have a blessed year and a good day!

  4. Although I am not a fan of counting my achievements at the end of a year, I believe in living my life by the day. Count your blessing, name them one by one and it will surprise you what the Lord has done, if only we can count it one by one and not wait for the end of a long year we will always be grateful to God.
Wishing you too all the best in the year ahead.

    • Hello Parameter,

The Lord’s blessings and goodness for us are new every day, but there is a tendency of taking those blessings for granted.  Therefore, your point of being mindful of our blessings is a very meritorious one!

Thank you for sharing and may God Almighty bless you richly this new year!

  8. Happy New Year to you too! Can you believe it that January if 2020 is almost over? I did not accomplish that much last year, I did only 25% of it but it is ok. I think it is important for us to be persistent and do not give up with our goals. A New Year is a great reminder for us to move our bottom and keep striking our goals! Stay positive and let’s accomplish them.

    • Awesome!!!
